Spring Bird Migration at Mt.
Davidson

One of our favorite birders ever, Dominik Mosur, will lead us on a very special early morning walk at an hour when the last night migrants and the first day migrants may overlap, at one of the best spots to enjoy spring migration, Mt. Davidson. Don't miss this chance to appreciate this river of birds before they disappear into the northlands! Also this will be a fantastic opportunity to explore the ecologies of this rarely visited natural area in the beautiful morning sun.

Don't Miss This Important Meeting!

THURSDAY April 15 | 4 pm
SF Rec & Park Commission Meeting - Item # 11

City Hall Room 416

The Planning Department has issued a categorical exemption for the Beach Chalet Soccer Fields project in Golden Gate Park. The addition of 60 foot tall stadium lights which can disorient migrating birds and other night flyers, replacing grass with artificial turf resulting in loss of habitat for birds and other animals, and the destruction of the historical character of the west end of the park are all serious issues with this project. This is the last opportunity for you to speak out on this issue at the Rec and Park, before they make their decision! Click here for more talking points & information, visit SF Ocean Edge, or email sfoceanedge@earthlink.net.
