2. Volunteer! Join one of Nature in the City’s projects - the Green Hairstreak Corridor, Mission Greenbelt, the Mt. Sutro Stewards - for a day of habitat restoration. 3. Plant a wildlife friendly backyard! Buy local native plants for your garden. Hint: Try the Haight-Ashbury Native Plant Nursery

4. Advocate that city officials take care of San Francisco’s nature and natural areas. Sign up for action alerts, attend a public meeting & keep tabs on when San Francisco’s biodiversity is going to be on the agenda – then head down to City Hall and let your voice be heard!

5. Learn more about nature where you live – attend a TALK, go on a guided hike, and sign up for our e-newsletter.

6. Tell a friend about our organization and the wonderful natural heritage San Francisco has to offer.

7.  Pick up a MAP and get to know San Francisco’s natural areas.

8. Fight invasive weeds by reading the San Francisco Weed Management Area’s new brochure and choosing habitat friendly plants for your garden.
